"THE GODDESSES OF THE OCEAN PLANET". Murals made by Fratelli Moca during the artist residency at pier2 art center in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. January-March 2024.
-On one of the side walls of the towers we have depicted a sea serpent (inspired by the "Laticauda colubrina" found in the waters of Taiwan).
On a symbolic level, in many ancient cultures the snake is associated with female strength, knowledge, wisdom, longevity and even immortality.
In this case we have represented it as two-headed (with two heads) and in this way we delve into dualism, a recurring theme in all the images in the project.
The eyes speak to us of the awakening of consciousness, of how we must look at and understand the world from a new perspective.
We want to reflect on the unity of life and how human beings must respect and reconnect with their natural environment.
