▍Exhibition Concept

The prevailing fixation inthe art world on industrial-like artworks has resulted in an overwhelming focuson precise objects inundating galleries and art fairs. This relentless pressureon artists to use increasingly valuable materials has exacerbated the issue ofthe system's entropy. Instead of perpetuating this cycle, I unequivocallyconcentrate on reinterpreting existing objects. I integrate frequentlyabandoned and overlooked items from our daily lives - neglected andunappreciated trash - as a fundamental component of my work. These itemssymbolize the consumption they represent.

I gathered materials for anexhibition at the beach, and it was intriguing to observe how both people andthe sea rejected them. It prompted me to contemplate how frequently we treatthe Earth's waters as a dumping ground. When we discard an object into a river,it seemingly disappears from our view forever. It flows into the sea, which, like a liminal space that we traverse but do not inhabit, remains beyond humanresponsibility.

I boldly underscore thesignificance of collected human-made waste by utilizing the silver leaftechnique. This technique preserves the physical materiality of the items whilevisually transforming them into symbolic representations. By recontextualizingthese objects, their status is elevated from clutter to distinguished exhibits. The adopted strategy aims to infuse waste existence into the consciousness ofsociety. This shift introduces a concept where human beings are not perceivedas the sole vital components of human existence but as individuals coexistingwith numerous non-human actants.
