▍Exhibition Concept
I have been using thread to representbalance and multiplication, and I would like to use this mode of expression totalk about coexistence in Kaohsiung. One is about this place seen through theeyes of a traveler, and the other is about the current way of coexistence I amliving.

I am particularly impressed by the contrastand harmony of this place. The robust ships, symbolizing technological prowess, connecting the vast and pristine skies and seas. The clever-looking childjumping among the old trees, enriched by time and the energy of nature. Thecheerful and energetic chirping of birds building homes confidently on the cleanand modern tram station roofs. The small but rich green leaves sproutingbetween bricks. And the history of Taiwan, which embraces various cultures andcreates harmony. These things can be distorted or subjective when seen throughthe eyes of a traveler. However, I want to call it a kind of gap(crack). Thegap, which also means space, creates unknown possibilities and directions. Thisgap becomes another starting point, support, and world, forming anotherbalance.

In my studio, I see cracks in the floor andholes in the walls, spaces that hold times and events I don't recognize. Icreate companions that are born, taking those gaps that make me feel the tracesof stories as their Supports. I imagine tropical fish, potted plants, and petsI raised at home. I feel the studio's yesterday and envision the sea I willmeet tomorrow. I intertwine desired companions, which might feel like ghosts,as desire calls.
