Emmi Jormalainen: Wildlife in the City
When you look closely, the city is full of wildlife. You can find bats, lizards, snails, monkeys, rats, crabs and various birds living in the parks, on the streets, and between houses. The drawings focus on nature and animals which are trying to survive in an urban landscape. The works are made after long walks around Kaohsiung.

Elizabeth Lander: Local Favourite

Local favourite is a collection of imagesthat depict places beloved within the community. In this exhibition thoseplaces refer to the many night markets and street side restaurants foundscattered around the city. Documenting the way, the character of Kaohsiungcomes alive the moment these eateries open their doors. In these paintings youwill see the daily night life of Taiwan and the intimate relationship food hasin Taiwanese culture.
