"A Displaced Hope" features three sets of photographs shot by Taha Ahmad respectively in Firoz Shah Kotla in India as well as in Sinapayan Village of Taitung and Toanapo Community of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This project, long conducted in Firoz Shah Kotla, has an air of mystery and is said to be blessed by genies. Endless streams of people gather there and paste coins to implore genies to provide a better life. Yet, where does the money go? Who are the followers? Who has obtained the money? Although India is geographically far from Taiwan, Taha Ahmad asked these questions while reflecting on what he'd observed during his brief residency in Taiwan.
