Few days before he joined Pier 2's artist-in-residence program, Mr. Paul invited locals in Kaohsiung, through social networking platforms, to recommend their must-eats, thereby making a list of delicacies that he'd like to taste for himself. Whether the foods were popular or not, Mr. Paul would rather not be swayed by their popularity or Netizens' reviews. Instead, he wished to taste the foods at random. After arriving in Kaohsiung, he personally tasted the foods, portrayed them all in illustrations, and shared with everyone information on Kaohsiung's foods and drinks as well as their diverse flavors through his exhibition.
