The exhibition "Commemorate and Step Across" displays photography installation artworks of 4 groups of artists from different countries. They continue with their own creative concepts, using cameras to convey different observations and beliefs. The photography and installation works by Denis Cherim and Lauren Spencer reflect people's everyday habit of collecting things, while hinting at the "commemoration" of experiences in life. Giuseppe Santagata, Kairon LIU, and Chiaoyi CHANG ask philosophical questions with no right answers with their photograph installations by reflecting on their own situations, "growing spiritually" to the next phase through dialogue with their work.
Because people's memories and consciousness cannot be touched or seen, the invention of photography enabled a shortcut for communication. Photography has become the glue of human connection. We have made a habit out of taking photographs, and viewing different viewpoints by looking at photos we share. With this exhibition, we commemorate life and transcend over time through the creativity of these artists.
