"What does it mean to be 'from outside'?" This exhibition explores the origin of the mouthbrooding tilapia (Taiwan tilapia) through archival imagery and scientific history, building a surreal ecosystem of flickering, egg-like forms and glowing lures that tremble with life, thereby reflecting on the issue of species invasion. Introduced to Taiwan in 1946 and selectively bred over generations, this resilient species thrives even in low-oxygen waters. It is now a key economic fish in Taiwan and is listed by the IUCN as one of the world's 100 worst invasive alien species.
